Dark red colour and perfumed spiciness with berry fruits on the nose. Good mouth-feel with grainy dusty tannins balanced
and integrated. A food wine!
On the 4th September 2007 at a gala dinner held at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Steven Spurrier handed the Decanter World Wine Awards International Trophy for the Best Bordeaux-styled Blend over £10 to a proud Pieter Visser, winemaker at Oak Valley for the Oak Valley Blend 2004.
